O + TO BE + V3
We use the passive voice when we want to focus on “what happened” (the action) rather than “who did it” (the subject). We form the passive voice using a form of the verb “to be” and the past participle of the verb. The passive can work in any tense; past, present or future. If we want to tell the subject of verb, we normally use the word “by” after the verb.
